The Proposal

 

It felt like an eternity leading to this point and season in our lives, but this day could not have been more special and perfect in God’s timing. On Saturday, January 25, 2014, it was my birthday and Gianni and I were going to spend the day together and take professional pictures which we had never done before. While we were taking our pictures at the beautiful Matheson Hammocks Park in Coral Gables, Gianni was planning and organizing the proposal with both of our family and friends all without me having a single clue on the other side of the woods at the park. At the end of our photography session Gianni asked me if I trusted him and took out a blind fold and some music with earphones to hear. I trusted him and he placed the blindfold on and the earphones. I held his hand tight not knowing where I was going and started to walk through the woods with him as I heard our favorite love songs in the background. Gianni sat me down on a chair and a few minutes later the music ended and he began to speak of our love and told me to take my blindfold off. I saw him and all of our family their surrounding us and I couldn’t contain my tears and how shocked I was. Gianni got down on one knee and asked me to marry him and spend the rest of our lives together and I SAID YES as I quickly got down on my knees and held him! Everything felt like a dream, every detail, everyone there with us and all that was done to make this day so amazing.
